If I could say that one piece of clothing was magic..... I would go with the Blue Jean Jacket. It transcends generations, trends, styles, fly by night micro trends. It is as casual as it is classic, and I imagine 100 years from now, it will still be a staple in a photographers style closet. 

It can dress up jeans and a T-shirt,  dress down a floral maxi, and give just about INFINITE justification for different "hands near face" poses. Like I said. MAGIC.

Especially here in Charlotte/Lake Norman Area. We are an area of oscillating seasons. One morning while shooting in North Camp End, it will be chilly and the jacket will cover bare shoulders, but as the shoot progresses and we move to Uptown Charlotte and we can show a little shoulder with the jacket and cool off a bit.  By the end of the shoot, the sun is up and we are in Davidson, NC and it is HOT! Jacket comes off and ties around the waist of Boho dress from Free People and BANG!  Perfection. Like I said. 

MAGIC! 

So, if you are freaking out about different wardrobe pieces for your perfect Senior Portrait Session... just relax. Start with the Jacket. You're welcome.
