Unpopular Opinion: Senior Session Edition
One of my BIGGEST unpopular opinions is that all seniors should get professional makeup application and hair styling the day of their session. A lot of photographers don’t agree with me (and that’s certainly ok) and think that clients should be in charge of their own makeup and hair for their senior portrait session.
Here’s 5 reasons why I believe what I do:
+ It gets HOT in Charlotte North Carolina. Our makeup artist uses WATERPROOF makeup so that your face will be flawless from beginning to end. Sweat, humidity, water and heat will have nothing on your super fab face!
+ Humidity near Lake Norman, North Carolina is INTENSE! Everyone can do their make up to look good for 30 mins, but you need a professional to make it look good for hours out in the humidity!
+ We want our clients to be able to wake up and show up without having to do their own makeup and worry about not doing it right, or have nervous session day jitters taking over. This is one of the main reasons we offer pre-session makeup application and hair styling – so you don’t have to worry about doing your own makeup and getting it portrait perfect! Leave that to the pros!
+ YOU have full control. Whether you want the clean aesthetic or full blown glam, our professionals can make it happen! They are trained on how to get the exact look you want and will consult with you about the shades, coverage, and style you’re going for.
+ Makeup for photography is vastly different from makeup for day to day wear. Our makeup artists and hairstylists use only the best HD camera ready products on your face and hair to make you look your very best for your portraits!
Tell me what YOU think about this unpopular opinion! Do YOU want professional makeup and hair done for your portrait session?!? Have you even booked your senior session yet? If not, now’s the time! We’re currently booking for March and April and those spots are booking up fast!
