Driving around town with me is a dangerous adventure because I’m always slamming on the breaks to look at a location while we’re passing by. A lot goes in to the “perfect” photo location but I have to say that light is my #1 factor. You could have an amazing location right in front of you but if the light is ugly, it’s not going to work out.

Here’s a few other things I look for when choosing a senior session location:

DOWNTOWN:
- hard leading lines that will - background lights
- clean shiny surfaces

URBAN:
- gritty concrete textures
- geometric shapes
- lots of different platforms

RETRO:
- pastel tones
- dilapidated textures - nostalgic elements

BOHO:
- tall grass fields
- ethereal backlight
- natural wood elements
