I love Graduations! They mark the end of an era and the beginning of a new life. Personally, I have had 4 different graduations. Highschool, Seminary, Undergraduate and my Masters. Each one was very different and meant different thing for me. Here in the Charlotte and Lake Norman areas, we have a variety of High Schools, Colleges, and Universities that all host big beautiful graduations every year! (Well, except for 2020. But we don't talk about that unpleasantness).
One things my clients like to do, is either bring their cap and gown to their session, or if they don't have it yet, we do a small cap and gown session when it comes in. Often we incorporate a college shirt from their intended college. Or we bring in family, or the graduates pet, or have the cap and gown session incorporate the graduates interests! The options are endless. But the main goal is to give those images meaning. So when you look back, 30 years from now, those pictures tell your story. Below are some great examples of how to rock your cap and gown session!
First up, we have Isaac who was passionate about music and drumming! We put him in his college shirt and hat, threw the graduation gown on top, and got the shot!
